Join us and event chair, Summit County Executive, Ilene Shapiro, on Friday, August 18th, 2017 for our premier fundraising event and kickoff to our 2017-2018 campaign! The 92nd Annual Gala will take place at the Grand Ballroom at Quaker Square in downtown Akron and will feature musical entertainment by the world famous Motown Record’s The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards.

At our 92nd Annual Gala we will introduce our inaugural class of the ‘Academy of Leader’s’, a group of women who demonstrate exceptional leadership in the fields of science, technology, engineering, the arts and math (STEAM). As part of our 2017-2020 strategic plans we will emphasize empowering those we serve through education and employment in the STEAM fields. Our 92nd Annual Gala with its theme, “Steaming Ahead”, will position us to impact the lives of the residents of Summit County through new and exciting programming.

Whether you are a supporter of the Akron Urban League, involved in the STEAM fields, or a fan of The Temptations, the Urban League’s 92nd Annual Gala is sure to be a fun-filled evening and all proceeds will benefit the life changing mission of the Akron Urban League. We hope to see you there!
