Funny Noizes Productions is pleased to bring to Akron, Ohio the comedy of the The Grisly Pear on MacDougal St. in NYC's Greenwich Village. A FREE SLICE OF GREENWICH VILLAGE COMEDY on Sunday, March 10 at 8:00 pm till 10:00pm at Barmacy Bar & Grill. Can you believe that this show is absolutely FREE!

The Grisly Pear Comedy Club in New York's Greenwich Village offers the funniest and fastest-rising stars in stand-up comedy today. The Grisly Pear Comedy Club has recently been compared to The Comedy Store in the 1970's and has recently been featured on HBO's "Crashing".

This evening of epic laughter will include performances from Adam Gabel, Gary G. Garcia, Neil Rubenstein, Gabe Dorado, Riley Lassin and Bart Dangus.

Adam Gabel is quickly gaining attention in the New York Comedy Scene as "The Guy with The Voice and The Hat". A regular on Comedy's Best Kept Secret Tour, Adam's quick wit, charming stage presence and off kilter delivery have garnered frequent comparisons to Mitch Hedberg and Steven Wright. The Brooklyn Native has been seen regularly at Dangerfield’s, Comic Strip Live and Broadway Comedy Club in New York City and is one of the core group of Featured Writers on Comedywire.com. He frequently tours the North East and Midwest parts of the country.

Gary G. Garcia, with his signature raspy voice and take-no-prisoners comedy stylings is a modern day renaissance man. He always hits the ground running, leaving everyone in his path in stitches! Truly a modern-day renaissance man, this hilarious guy brings to the stage his eclectic, unflinchingly funny take on how he survives in an unpredictable world in Astoria, New York, as a dad, musician, restaurateur, clothing designer, and hustler at the game of life. In just five years, Garcia has made a mark for himself in stand-up since starting out in New York City doing small bits anywhere he could to becoming a fixture at one of the town’s most popular venue, The Grisly Pear Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Dangerfield's, and others. He recently expanded his repertoire by taking his show on the road - literally - with recent shows in Atlantic City at Ceasar's with ACJokes.com

Neil Rubenstein doesn’t do drugs. He’s never had a sip of alcohol. So it may come as a bit of a surprise when the Long Island comedian references past occupations like owning a brothel or running an illegal poker room. It’s a dynamic that makes Neil both incredibly interesting and incredibly funny – something that served him well when his role on a Spike TV show as a gambling expert introduced him to the world of stand-up comedy. Stand up was more than an outlet – it straightened out his life. “I accidentally became a good role model,” Neil Rubenstein says. Neil doesn’t shy away from discussing his former life of crime. Though he credits comedy with in some ways saving his life, his past experiences inform his understanding and his art. They also inform his work ethic.
“I can’t just play cards, I had to run a poker room,” Neil says, by way of explanation. It’s an ethic he brings to his comedy: a dedication to doing something to the utmost degree. “I couldn’t just do stand up, I had to quit my job and focus everything on the craft.”
His dedication and humor have earned him accolades including runner up in 2017 Long Island Laugh Off and the Main Event of The World Series of Comedy.
“Neil’s a burly, tattooed guy who plays against type; kind, cerebral, but still casually mentions past illegal activities the way I might reference a Renaissance Lit course I took in college,” Joe Devito, famous comedian, said about Neil’s show. It’s a show you won’t want to miss.

Gabe Dorado is quickly becoming a known name in the world of comedy. He is a Miami, Fla. born Cuban American comic, actor, writer, and producer. His irreverent, light hearted style, his Cuban heritage, his struggles in day to day life, and his love for life dictates his philosophy on stage. Gabe is a very likable, hard working comic who believes in the hustle and process of comedy. He has been a staple in the New York City underground comedy scene for 7 years and is respected by his peers. Gabe performs regularly at The Grisley Pear Comedy Club, as well as The Broadway Comedy Club, The Greenwich Village Comedy Club, The Comic Strip, The New York Comedy Club, Caroline's on Broadway, and numerous other famous comedy venues throughout New York City. Gabe has been seen throughout the country at such notable cities as Las Vegas, Miami, Atlantic City, Denver, Atlanta, Mobile, Boston and New Jersey, which really isn't a city but don't tell anyone in Jersey.

Riley Lassin is an up and coming NYC comedian who is a force not to be reckoned with! She is known to wield jokes like a light-saber yet she credits Bettie Page as a role model. Riley can be found performing her unique style of comedy throughout NYC at places like NYC's Broadway Comedy Club, The Grisly Pear Comedy Club and Greenwich Village Comedy Club and she has just returned from doing shows throughout Louisiana and Michigan. She has been a guest on popular podcasts like Race Wars hosted by Sherrod Small.

Bart Dangus style has been described as: "That comedian, with a stoic demeanor and cadence to match. Bart Dangus has a unique wit and creativity that will have audiences laughing at the painful side of life.” Bart started his comedy career in Arizona, shortly after quitting his day job, bought a travel trailer and lived on the road traveling while hosting a podcast and doing as much stage time as possible throughout the United States. After about a year of roaming he settled down in Detroit, MI. and created a weekly show called Prankis with Bart Dangus. Since then he's released a comedy CD, wrote for The Metropolitan Magazine, and has been performing all over the United States and Canada. He's performed at the Backline Improv Comedy Club, Comedy Off Main, and Go Comedy. He's worked with Dave Landau, Heather Jay, Andy Andrist and Doug Stanhope

Emcee Chris Ketler (aka The Bitter Dude) who draws from a topsy-turvy life with humor that is easy to relate to and, in the process, funny as hell. Although Ketler is the first to say that his life isn’t quite so bitter nowadays, thanks to the fact that in little more than three years, he’s created a name for himself with recent appearances throughout Ohio, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, New York City and Orlando. In addition to his work as a comedian and comedy producer, Ketler is an actor, who stars in the upcoming television series, “Below Average Joe.” He also recently wrapped production on Amazon Prime’s crime family drama, “Mafia Ties.” Ketler can also be seen in major films like “White Boy Rick,” starring Mathew McConaughey, “Embrace The Twilight,” and the newly-released “Anhedonia,” starring The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney.
