This course meets the requirements for Ohio’s Mandatory Boater Education requirement (the Ohio Boater Education Card), required for all boat operators born on or after January 1, 1982 who operate a boat over 10hp. The boater education card should be carried on-board the vessel while underway.
The ticket price covers the textbook, which may be shared among family members

• Boat Safety Equipment
• Safe Boating
• Navigation
• Boating Problems
• Trailering, Storing, and Protecting Your Boat
Developed by the United States Power Squadron (USPS), “America’s Boating Course” includes a 244 page full color manual that serves as the course textbook. The manual, which can be shared, is $35.
Course is 6 weeks long.
Graduates receive the “Ohio Boating Education Card”, mandatory for boat operators born after 1981.
Graduates can also attend Seamanship Class (Fall 2018) at no charge - $55 value
