Event Details

Step back into the 1860’s Civil War era to explore reenactor camps and our historic sites as we bring to life the diverse experiences and stories of people from Northeast Ohio and across the country. A living history program series, Voices From the Past, will present the lives of both free and enslaved peoples through first-person interpretations. In addition, join us for a robust schedule of timed and ongoing presentations from partners exploring the historic and cultural importance of the time period.

GROUP & UNIT Registration

 This GROUP/ UNIT Registration Ticket is offered as an express option for those registering multiple reenactor tickets at one time. Please select the total amount of tickets needed, and you will be asked to fill out one form for the complete order. By processing this form you agree to act as the main contact for all registrants included, and assume responsibility for sharing the Event Guidelines & Agreement information. PLEASE NOTE: All reenactors (Military or Civilian) above the age of 13 years old are required to register, pay registration fee, and return a signed Event Guidelines & Agreement (included in this online registration form) in order to participate in the Civil War Weekend at Hale Farm & Village. All reenactors under the age of 13 MUST be included on a paid adult's registration form, and accompanied by that adult at all times.

Separate applications or special actions are needed for the following:  

  • ARTILLERY is by INVITATION ONLY. Please contact HFV Director, Travis Henline with any questions. 330-666-3711, ext. 1713.  
  • SUTLERS: Please submit a Sutler Application instead of registration if you are interested in being a vendor during Hale Farm’s Civil War Weekend. Contact Shannon Stewart, Public Programs Manager, at 330-666-3711 ext. 1719 for additional information or questions.  
  • AMBASSADOR PROGRAM: New this year–Hale Farm is pleased to recruit reenactors who are excited to interact with guests during the Civil War Weekend. This is a special opportunity to be an active part of our weekend programming and schedule! Ambassadors receive FREE Registration and FREE Rations. If you are interested please apply BEFORE completing your Reenactor Registration.  The Ambassador Registration Application & Information can be found by clicking HERE.

  • Pre-Registration fee is $15 for all reenactors, aged 13 and up and can be completed online.  
  • Please note—RATIONS will be an additional charge and ONLY available through Pre-registration. Deadline to register and choose rations: July 21st.  
  • Walk-in Registration is $25 and must be completed on site at the Registration Tent. (See Guidelines for more information).  
  • Walk-in participants are NOT able to purchase ration tickets.  
  • Youth ages 12 and under are FREE, but must be accompanied by a REGISTERED legal guardian, and their information must be included in the registration application. 
  • No one under the age of 18 may carry a firearm on museum grounds.

Please note: 

  • All Units must provide proof of insurance to Command Staff when checking in at Command HQ.  
  • All Cavalry members must provide Coggins papers to Command Staff prior to the event weekend.  
  • NO PETS are allowed on Hale Farm grounds—this includes inside encampments or inside any vehicles being kept on grounds. If you have a service animal that needs to accompany you, you must make arrangements with Hale Farm Management PRIOR to arriving for registration and check-in.
