With temperatures gently rising and maple sap running, can spring be far behind? The makers and storytellers of Hale & Village – in the sugar camp and around the forest, farm, and village – are ready to welcome you to explore the tastes and traditions of spring in the 19th century at this season's Maple Sugar Festival.
Before heading out to the Sugar Camp, enjoy a hearty pancake breakfast in the Gatehouse Visitor Center from 10 am to 3 pm with your museum-plus-breakfast combination ticket. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage links, fruit, coffee, juice, and milk, with Acme Fresh Market at the griddle.
View demonstrations of tapping maple trees and boiling maple sap for syrup or sugar, while historic cooking, crafts and trades, seasonal activities, and draft animals at work hint at the daily life on 1800s farms in the Cuyahoga Valley.
Hale Farm’s MarketPlace will be open throughout Maple Sugar Festival and features seasonal gifts, Ohio-made and historically inspired.
Adult general admission to the Hale Farm & Village plus pancake breakfast: $25
Youth (ages 3-12) Hale Farm admission plus pancake breakfast: $16
WRHS Member or active-duty military Hale Farm admission plus pancake breakfast (available at the door): $10
