The Funny Farm is NE Ohio's premiere venue for live comedy and is located on the second floor of The Federal Building 110 W. federal St. Youngstown. They offer a full line of adult beverages but may we suggest you arrive early and have dinner in The Federal Building Restaurant. There is plenty of FREE street parking and several FREE parking lots adjacent to the Funny Farm Comedy Club.

An Atlanta native, Mark has spent his entire life in the South. However, he is NOT what you might expect to see when you hear the words “Southern Comic”. Not only is his comedy hilarious, it’s smart, to the point, and cutting-edge clean. In fact, his “Southern, Not Stupid!” show has been taking audiences by storm from coast to coast, on land and at sea.

Mark will allow you to see the lighter side of the dumb things that happen all around you every day. Two things you might take from his show are that you don’t have to be dirty to be funny, and that having a Southern accent does not mean you are stupid. You can’t pinpoint stupidity to any one region or group; it’s universal. His examples of widespread stupidity have left his audiences doubled over with laughter, and hopefully a little wiser, too. After all, Mark’s goal is to educate as well as entertain!

Mark has always been able to make people laugh, but when he first took the stage in 1993, he knew he found his calling, and he has never looked back. Since then he has worked comedy clubs, colleges, casinos, corporate events, country clubs, international resorts, and cruise ships. His performances aboard Carnival Cruise Lines have made him an even more diverse comedian. That is, he can be just as funny working for family or adult audiences. Mark can adjust his show to cater to any and all of your needs. But even in his adult shows, he still works clean keeping his act to a PG-17 level.

Featuring tonight is Chris Ketler (aka The Bitter Dude). Chris draws from a topsy-turvy life with humor that is easy to relate to and, in the process, funny as hell. Although Ketler is the first to say that his life isn’t quite so bitter nowadays, thanks to the fact that in little more than three years, he’s created a name for himself with recent appearances throughout Ohio, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, New York City and Orlando. In addition to his work as a comedian and comedy producer, Ketler is an actor, who stars in the upcoming television series, “Below Average Joe.” He is currently a member of the cast of Amazon Prime's “Mafia Ties.” You can see episodes at https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B07TTHCQKG/ref=share_ios_season Chris can also be seen in major films like “White Boy Rick,” starring Mathew McConaughey, “Embrace The Twilight,” and the newly-released “Anhedonia,” starring The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney. Our EMCEE tonight is David Horning. David Horning is originally from the suburbs of Akron, Ohio. David burst onto the N.E. Ohio stand-up comedy scene with his absurd and memorable observations of milk. Since then, he’s had audiences across the country doubling over with laughter. David has performed at clubs throughout NYC, including Caroline's, The People’s Improv Theatre, and New York Comedy Club. Since his return to N.E. Ohio he has performed at Hilarities in Cleveland, Helium in Portland, Liquid Laughs in Boise, and at shows across the country. His comedy ranges from light-hearted observations of awkward small talk and his experiences growing up Catholic, to darker, more thought-provoking takes on the stubbornness of people, online dating, and death. David will have you saying, “What did I just watch?” David currently lives in Cleveland with his cat, Puppy.
