Discover the surprising range of rich color created by making dyes using natural materials from the garden, field, forest or far away. Flowers, roots and leave, nut hulls, the bark from trees, and even bugs provide the natural palette for dyeing wool fibers in Hale Farm’s Dye Shop. Please dress in casual, comfortable clothing (that you won’t mind getting splashed by a little dye).
