Experience the magic of indigo dyeing! Learn the history and science of the plant-based blue dye while exploring color variations in top-dyeing indigo over other natural dyes. Participants will receive four (4) 20-yard skeins of wool yarn for dyeing.
Please dress in casual, comfortable clothing (that you won’t mind getting splashed by a little dye).

Hale Farm & Village is the living history museum of the Western Reserve Historical Society, located in Bath, Ohio. Surrounded by the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Hale Farm includes the generational home and farmstead of the Hale Family, heritage breed animals and gardens, and an 1840's Living History Village--featuring historic structures dating between 1830 and 1850 from across Northeast Ohio.
